All homes have woodwork. Kitchen cabinets, doors, window and door trim, baseboard and crown moldings, fireplace mantels and more.
Much of this woodwork, especially in earlier homes has been painted to change the look over the years. Sometimes with more than one coat of paint. Other woodwork has just grown old, dirty and worn due to exposure and use. What ever the situation, this woodwork can be rejuvenated and refreshed to add a completely new look, or to return the woodwork to it’s original look and feel.
While it is an option to have the woodwork stripped and cleaned in your home and in location, it is a long, tedious and potentially hazardous job. What we can do for you is provide a safe alternative to in-home stripping and refinishing of your architectural woodwork.
While it is not the easiest of tasks, the best method is to remove your woodwork and bring it in for a thorough stripping, cleaning and sanding. Then, you can do the finishing yourself or we can continue the process and complete the finishing for you.
During removal, if a piece breaks, don’t throw it away. Keep all the pieces and bring them in. In many cases, we can repair it for you or help you find a close enough match to your original woodwork.
